How to pronounce pressurise in English?

The world is currently very apprehensive about the Russia-Ukraine war. Countries such as USA, UK, France, Canada, etc. have imposed multiple sanctions on trade with Russia. Exorbitant duties have been levied on them as well. Trade relations are not cordial anymore due to the strict sanctions. These sanctions are meant to hamper the Russian economy and [ __ ] them financially. Then they cant buy weapons and the war stops automatically. It was done to pressurise Russian President Putin. However none of this seems to have affected Russia and they have no issues with the sanctions. Do you know why? Russia exports crude oil around the world. Crude oil is very very very important! Petrol, diesel, etc. is made from it and it is crucial for vehicles, factories, etc. Banning Russian oil would cause a huge problem and would negatively affect the economy. Even when sanctions were imposed on Russia, there were none related to crude oil. Hence, Russia was not worried. They continued to make sales and the economy was completely fine. Oil prices have been rising across the world on fears of war. Now US President Joe Biden has decided to ban Russian oil imports to the USA. This news has come as a huge shock. Biden said the decision was made after consulting their allies. How surprising! Notably, the US will not be joined by its European allies in banning Russian oil. They have said they will eventually phase out buying oil from Russia. They can not do it all at once. European oil giants Shell and BP announced they will not make any new purchases of Russian oil. Meanwhile, Japan who used to export oil refinery machinery to Russia has decided to stop its imports. Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri asserted that Indians should not be worried about rising petrol prices. There is no shortage of crude oil and we have a huge reserve. The Central government will keep an eye on the matter so people need not worry.
