all of his mutant abilities wolverine
was vulnerable wolverine was lonely and
this is similar to what we see with jed
it's a copycat killing that shocks a
close community and tears one family
apart forever at what point did he go
from
being a good kid with the best of
intentions
to a cold-blooded killer
this whole thing
is tragic
it's a tragedy
that jed
never got the support and love
that he so desperately craved

he's got a kind heart and ultimately
he's there for the team if they need him
for 21 year old jed allen wolverine is
the hero he's been searching for jed is
determined to go from an outcast to a
hero just like wolverine did

he wasn't taken care of his mother was
an alcoholic and his father was with a
new family now so there was no one to
protect him and no one to guide him
i think he looked up to wolverine's
strength and thought that maybe he could
channel wolverine's strength into his
own situation
he gelled his hair
and made it look like the character's
hair
he also posed for pictures
with blades between his hands
to model
what the character possessed
but in the end jed's legacy couldn't be
further from a superhero
jid felt powerless when it came
to trying to help his mother ultimately
jed wanted to save his family and
what ended in tragedy started from a
good place

in philip howard's back
upon further investigation we believe
the killer to be miss jordan's 21 year
old son

we just don't understand that kind of
killing
it's very hard for people to grasp
what kind of person could do this
if you see jed allen
do not go near him
he is possibly armed and extremely
dangerous
nobody saw this coming
jed was a nice kid
he loved his family
he was very protective of his family
his friends
were shocked

the media jumps on any information they
can glean about jed and his motive for
the crime
there was a picture that jed had placed
on social media
a picture where he's posing
with blades between his hands
and he looked like wolverine
and so people look at it and they say
without a doubt oh
he's trying to mimic
wolverine
he wants to be like
wolverine
it was a gruesome passionate crime
headlines are already calling him the
wolverine killer
how could it come to be
that
fandom
a bit of an
obsession really liking
a science fiction
cartoon character
comes to life
in
the most brutal way
let's see how i am greeted today
detectives will soon learn the haunting
answer i'm gonna kill you
and it's more gruesome than anyone could
ever imagine
when the police searched the house they
found a notebook
and in that notebook was written the
message i know the truth
as
seemingly open and shut as this case is
there were a couple of questions
remaining
this is what happens
to people
who are unloved
this is the outcome
with the july 2000 release of the highly
anticipated film x-men moviegoers once
again prove audiences love superheroes
the first movie was so big when it came
out everyone was excited at box office
smash it made almost 300 million dollars
worldwide
the character of wolverine played by
hugh jackman becomes an instant fan
favorite when we first meet wolverine
and x-men
he's an outcast he's a loner
and
we watch as he goes through a journey in
the first film where in the end he
understands
that
he he belongs with professor x and the
rest of the x-men
wolverine ends up fighting for the
greater good rather than hiding in the
shadows

off the screen a 21-year-old fugitive
named jed allen has been dubbed the
wolverine killer by the media
upon further investigation we believe
the killer to be ms jordan's 21 year old
son
jed allen
cameras captured jed buying water at a
train station
shortly thereafter he's seen walking
toward university park
if you see jed allen
do not go near him
but before jed allen was known as the
wolverine killer he was simply an
innocent boy
at an early age life for jed allen has
always been a struggle jed's parents uh
divorced when he was just one year old
his mother started drinking very very
heavily
and his father soon took up with another
woman and had another family

his childhood was destroyed by his
mother's alcoholism he had to grow up
way too fast for a child like jed who
sees his mother passed out and is faced
with the fact that his parent might be
dead is one thing but then to see it
over and over again he doesn't know what
the next day will bring
the child immediately takes on the role
as a protector
and wants to save the parent

what's going on in the outside world
when he comes home that is a safe place
and his parents
are there to protect him
to love him and nurture him that didn't

but soon it's clear he doesn't belong
there's a new baby there's a new wife
yet again
he can't
get that emotional connection that he's
craved his entire life
from one of the people who helped to
create him
he felt
that his father
wanted to move on
from that period with his mother
he didn't feel like he belonged
and he felt neglected
and unloved
most importantly
that he didn't have a place in his
father's life
over time jed becomes a locked box

jed was left alone
he might have been on the internet but
he was locked away in his room still in
isolation still in his fantasy world but
while alone one cartoon hero gives him
strength so this point where he was the
most vulnerable that jed saw x-men jed
falls in love with wolverine the most
popular x-man in the marvel universe we
have a child here who's growing up
with a mother who's addicted to alcohol

it totally controls her
the child feels powerless
and out of control
and he's shaped
and affected
by watching this superhero wolverine who
has amazing strength
and power
to help people
and for jed a child
trying to come to some
solution
to the troubles he's faced
watching every day
it's a natural normal
reaction
in a way jed sees many parallels between
himself and wolverine
when we first meet wolverine and x-men
uh he's an outcast he's a loner and
that's exactly why jed related to them
so well
dead's fascination with wolverine sticks
with him throughout his life
and when fox releases the hit film x-men
jed can't get enough

when x-men was released in 2000 it
revitalized the the comic book genre
it's apparent that jed has an obsession
which
is almost understandable if you're a
younger teenager who's
who loves the character of wolverine or
any comic book superhero
i think jed idolizes wolverine's
strength
and determination of character

he has of himself very low self-esteem
so he kind of channels himself into
wolverine jed thinks if he can become as
intimidating and heroic as wolverine he
might become the superhero his family
sorely needs jed's mission was to save
his mother
to save her from herself
from her own impulses and her addiction
to alcohol
jed decides to move back in with his
mother janet and younger sister darren
but his mom's new boyfriend phillip
howard as jed feeling on edge janet and
philip fight constantly jade's mother
janet jordan
has a history
of alcoholism and so when she meets
this man phillip
her son
jed is skeptical
philip didn't give him any attention
philip didn't particularly like him what
is darren need new shoes again for jed
it was just
a long line of men
that his mother had brought home
from childhood to young adulthood
that wasn't a father although jed's
mother now says she's sober jed is
starting to have his doubts and he
thinks philip is to blame jed has seen
his mother
fail time and time again

he's supposed to be her protector what
are you talking about he's supposed to
be the hero
who helps her
he's sober
and he can't understand it
and he doesn't have the capabilities
that wolverine does
he just
doesn't he can't save the day
for his mother
but jed has a plan to change this
he's working out with weights
strenuously he's growing his hair and
his sideboards into the wolverine style
wolverine is a character that's
easy to admire he's got a great physique
thanks to hugh jackman
and so you can understand why jed would
want to get in peak physical condition
becoming wolverine isn't easy although
he was six foot tall he was doing a lot
of weights it wasn't uh he wasn't
getting enough results he felt he had to
go further so his friends said that he
started taking steroids to build up his
muscles and become more like wolverine
jed takes his love of wolverine to
social media
jed had very low self-esteem so he liked
to post pictures of himself with his
knife collection with his three
retractable blades and posing like
wolverine because it built up his image
he thought to put it on social media
the internet provided jed with a lot of
attention a lot of positive attention
the pictures reaffirm
for jed
that he is powerful
that he does look like wolverine that he
is wolverine
and wolverine can get through anything

he reaches a point where he can't
separate fat from fiction
but jed's newfound strength is about to
be put to the test jed's still trying
very very hard to keep his family
together he goes out to work every day
and he just wants to protect darren and
he's doing everything he can to keep his
family together it's his mission in life

that's when he realizes that his
mother's addiction is much worse than he
thought
janet is using heroin
seeing janet out cold
does trigger
a lot of emotions
but jed is no longer a child he's an
adult
and just like wolverine
he can take control
he can take charge
and he can fight back
he can't take this
in the action film x-men wolverine is
portrayed as one of the most complicated
and conflicted characters in the marvel
universe wolverine's popularity with
regard to the rest of the x-men
he's not the leader but he's the
anti-hero that i think most people

a cd bar where he cage fights drunk
locals for money wolverine is almost
invincible aside from the fact that he
heals very quickly
having his bones grafted with this

seems to have unlimited strength
some of his friends begin to suspect
that jed is taking steroids
jed worked really hard in the gym but he
still felt he was lacking in results
he wasn't nearly as massive or muscular
as wolverine
and he felt
he needed more
but like his favorite x-men jed bleeds
from a lifetime of emotional wounds and
he has just learned that his mother is
now using drugs at this moment jed has
lost all hope
jed had a lifetime of dealing with his
mother's prediction

but he could never blame her
with philip
now in her life
jed could blame phillip
jed
and he became the target of his rage

seeing his mother's addiction brings
back all the fears he felt as a child

what about darren did you grow up like i

fail time and time again

yet he's supposed to be her protector
he's supposed to be the hero
who helps her

and he can't understand it
and he doesn't have the capabilities
that wolverine does

for his mother

and as a failure
although philip has left the house
janet's problems continue her days are
spent shooting heroin and consuming
alcohol
for jed watching his mother spin out of
control once again is devastating you
win some balloons
yeah how many did you win

remember that puzzle we were working on
yeah why don't you go and work on that

knowing that he's a failure
and knowing
that he's unable
to cure his mother
sets the wheels in motion
following disappointment
that then
turned to depression
is this the real life left untreated is
this just fantasy coupled with that
steroid use it's a
starts to affect his outlook
and he becomes angry
no escape from reality
and that anger

becomes vengeful judd tells his friends
that he's very very depressed and he
says he hates his life he really doesn't
like it anymore
dead's frustration grows with each
passing week
one day jed's walking home from work and
he sees
that philip
is in the house
and that's when jed reaches his breaking
point
he lost
all hope that anything mattered that
anything could change

he sees phillip
back in his house
with his mother
nothing has changed
his mother
is a liar
his mother
has no intention
of ever giving up the drugs
or the alcohol
let alone fill up
like wolverine rushing to the aid of his
fellow x-men jed knows what he needs to
do downstairs now
now
now wolverine's popularity with regard
to the rest of the x-men
he's not the leader but
when they need someone that's just a
pure ball of rage that's when he just
goes into berserker mode
[Music]
but jed can't control his inner
wolverine
[Music]
in the film x-men wolverine makes a
drastic transformation from a selfish
recluse to a selfless hero
wolverine
makes it his mission
to save a young mutant female
named rogue
wolverine has a special connection with
rogue he wants to save her and he wants
to save
anyone in his that's when he truly
becomes a hero
jed allen has also been on a life-saving
mission to protect his mother janet
jordan from alcohol and drug abuse
he has dealt with his mother's substance
abuse for his entire life he's tried to
be her protector he's tried to save her
he believed when he finally got rid of
her boyfriend phillip howard his mother
would sober up when jed finally
persuades his mother to kick philip out
of the house
jed feels empowered he feels he's
finally got one victory
in his quest to kind of save his mother
and he just feels strong that he can
move on
but now philip's back

and then he sees his baby sister
is that what her life is gonna be
is that what she's expecting darren from
her childhood

heartbroken and full of rage jed knows
he has to take drastic measures
his mother
has no intention
of ever giving up the drugs
or the alcohol
let alone philip
is this the real life
is this just fantasy
for jed
everything is over
all hope
is now gone
i think when he walked in and he found
philip back in the house with his mother
and they're both on heroin his sister
upstairs crying he just lost it
completely he just blapped
downstairs now
now
now
this moment
brings it all together for jed
he's empowered
he's in charge and he's going to take
his rightful place as the man of this
house and he's going to put an end to
this situation
he may not be able to change things but
he can certainly end it
he just blacked out
and he
just
took out a knife and started stabbing
[Music]
philip is dead
a lifetime
of anger and anguish
was all
built up and jed
and in the flash of a moment
he killed philip
he had all that rage penned up
and when he released it he extinguished
philip's life
but even with philip gone jed's rage
continues to burn we're jed
turning to steroids
for immediate results so he could be
massive
like wolverine
is one thing
but he's not taking
into account the side effects
that also can develop from taking
steroids
aggressiveness
mood swings
mania
depression
even suicidal thoughts as well as
homicidal thoughts
a lot of
changes in one's emotional brain
brewing and already
an emotionally fragile
young man
and that's when jed decides to do the
unthinkable he knows now his mother is
past the point of ever being sober
but in an instant it had all changed
there wasn't any love left
the love
in an instant
had turned to hate
and beyond hate
revenge
and a revenge
that was out to destroy his mother

this is the woman that
his entire life jed has tried to protect
has tried to
fix help
all of this
working and wanting to be wolverine this
great protector the savior it's it's
never going to work for her
he stabs her repeatedly
he
finally
makes sure that his mom will never be
drunk or high
or
disappointing to him again
[Music]
to kill the woman that had given him
life
what must have been going on in his mind
to produce
that kind of hatred
[Music]
but it's what happens next that is truly
tragic
we'll never know for certain
but we can imagine
that
jed
probably thought
his sister
was going to go to social services
he wouldn't be around to protect her
after what he'd just done who knows what
kind of life she would
be subject to
he couldn't protect her his mother
couldn't protect her
and so he went to a sister's room
and just like he did
their mom
he stabbed that little girl
multiple times
until she was dead
after the killings reality hits jed hard
jed goes into his bedroom
and with
the blood on his hands
right i'm
sorry
jed isn't a hero like wolverine he's a
villain
we watch magneto who is the villain of
the franchise
but when you see him as a child you
begin to understand where all this
hatred for mankind came from
it's turned him into this
vehicle of hate
jed knows the cops will soon be hot on
his trails so he heads to the station
and catches a train to a nearby park
he then got out his cell phone
and he wrote a cryptic text to his
friends
saying i haven't got much time
they know i did what i have to do
and they just look at this his friends
and they know something terrible has
happened but although his friend since
jed is in some sort of trouble they have
no idea where to find him or what he'll
do next
the blockbuster franchise x-men spins
off several successful and highly rated
sequels x-men fans
never tire of that franchise they will
always show up to the theaters because
they love these characters the same way
that people love batman and superman
as for wolverine fan jed allen his
legacy will never be that of his
favorite superhero he's killed his
mother janet all through his life he's
had disappointment of the disappointment
with his mother
uh being an alcoholic he hasn't been
able to save her and he's also killed
her boyfriend philip and his sister
darren in a fit of rage in that skewed
emotionally conflicted brain of his
he thought he was doing the right thing
by killing his baby sister because in
his skewed brain
he thought by killing his baby sister
he was saving her
from a horrible life
a horrible life that he had experienced
and now jed is on the run
after the murders
jed sent a cryptic message to his
friends
telling them
he didn't have much time i did what i
had to do
now
jed's friends knew he came from a tough
home situation and that he was
usually at odds with his mom's boyfriend
and you know even that he had thrown the
guy out
so getting this text folks had to
recognize well something's off it's
probably dealing with the family after
receiving the eerie text one of his
friends later that night stops by jed's
home to make sure everything is okay he
gets there and saw
jed's stepfather
lying on the floor with a knife in his
back and he sees blood all over the
place
and he calls the police

last night
police received a phone call of a dead
body inside a home
at about 8 24 p.m when authorities
arrived at the home
they discovered three deceased victims
inside
48 year old janet jordan
44 year old philip howard
[Music]
and their six-year-old daughter darren
it's always
horrific to come upon a crime scene
where someone's been stabbed to death um
police said that this was one of the
most brutal and
horrifying scenes they'd ever seen
this was an incredibly gruesome crime
not only
had an entire family been killed
but there was a little girl
a six-year-old
that had also been stabbed multiple
times
it's horrific
upon further investigation we believe
the killer to be miss jordan's 21 year
old son
jed allen
jed's blood and dna were all over the
murder scene
he'd left his
knife his hunting knife which he'd
killed or his family embedded in
philip's back
so there was ample evidence that proved
that
jed had done this terrible crime police
have no idea if jed is a danger to
himself or others
breaking news
headlines are already calling him the
wolverine killer
weirder things
that appear innocent
go to the point
of being so horrific
really no so unbelievable
that they end up
and murder
two days after the grisly murders of
janet phillip and darren the search for
jed comes to a close
a woman was in a park
and she suddenly saw a body hanging from
the tree
and she summoned the police and it was
jed allen
it's a tragic end to an unforgettable
story
they recognized the whole time they were
hunting for him he was already dead
in jed's mind
how could he be wolverine
and then kill people
kill his family kill his mother kill his
stepfather kill his little sister
nobody had any way of knowing
that such a thing would happen
you know jed was a nice kid he loved his
little sister he loved his mother he did
everything
he could to try and
help his mom and and be a good big
brother and you know just be a decent
human being who unfortunately got dealt
a pretty bad hand in life authorities
believe jed killed his family then went
to a train station where he took 100 out
of an atm before entering the park where
his body was found why did he take money
out
if he was planning on killing himself
was he using the hundred dollars to go
somewhere else
and then at a moment of impulse
decided no
i'm going to kill myself right here
no one will ever know the truth
but after police find a note from jed
they get a glimpse of what was going on
inside his troubled mind when he decided
to murder his family jed wrote i know
the truth this is the end
it's very possible
he was saying
i see things clearly now
i was never loved
my mother
was in love with drugs
my mother was in love with alcohol
my mother was never
in love with me
and that's the truth
i am unloved
and i don't belong
in this world
jed allen wanted to be a hero
but a hero is what he needed
jed was in a situation that everybody
would like to have had to see him
overcome but he doesn't it just ends up
a unterrible tragedy
this whole thing
is tragic
it's a tragedy
that jed
never got the support and love
that he so desperately craved
it's a tragedy
that his mother
could never sober up
it's a tragedy
that jed thought the only solution
to his problems
was to annihilate his family
no matter how you look at this
it's a horrible tragedy
i just think it's uh
just
so heartbreaking inexplicable
how
jed could have killed his whole family
he obviously loved his mother he tried
to protect her over the years he assumed
this wolverine character because with
his lower self-esteem i think he thought
that would give him the extra power to
save his family and darren but it's just
uh it's just so sad that he didn't
